Managers play an essential role in ensuring the performance and wellbeing of their teams. However, both new and seasoned managers often struggle to understand what is expected of them in this regard. To assist all of the organization’s people managers, the IRC has partnered with Headington Institute to create the “Staff Care for Managers” e-learning. Across three modules, this course introduces learners to IRC’s People Manager Standards, to common “climate killers” which impact team engagement and how to address them, to the manager’s role in ensuring staff wellbeing, and how managers can best support the resilience of their staff. The course is hosted on IRC’s learning management system, Kaya Connect, and at present is available in English only. Completion of the course will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
